Earlier this spring, before the trip to Hawaii to swim with the fishes, I heard a report on the radio that the wildflowers were in bloom up in Yosemite. So I took off to see them. And in organizing a little photo expedition with someone with some local knowledge I learned what you’re going to see in the next few photos. Yosemite is spectacular at this time of year. But wildflowers? Umm, no. Stay tuned though. Because I did find some. Just not in the park.

This is Yosemite Falls.  I stayed at The Lodge at the Falls which isn’t fancy.  But it does have a pretty nice view (see below).  It was definitely still cold at night and in the morning.  That white stuff by the side of the falls?  Ice.  Cracks off from time to time and makes quite a noise.
