No idea what this plant is. Saw it in a vase in someone’s kitchen in Seattle. They’d picked it in the neighborhood and didn’t know what it was either.

Cool looking.

Just saw Hotel Transylvania, but don’t believe Frankenstein.  In this case, “fire good.”  Just remember to stand back a little from the flames.

A few days ago I showed a couple of shots outside at Chihuly Garden and Glass.  Remember the tall, thin glass objects in the flower beds?  They’re making one here.  They are big.  So big that they use a scissor lift jacked all the way up to the ceiling to give enough room to stretch out the tube.  Gravity (and a very hot torch) is your friend.  At the Chihuly Boathouse.

Then not.

Honestly. Thought it was going to be easy. Using railsinstaller or the instructions found in a variety of places. None of which seemed to work. And all of which involved installing RVM as part of their broken processes. So the simple way? Just use RVM and have it do the whole thing.

Go here: https://rvm.io/rvm/install
for instructions. But really just type this into a terminal window:

  \curl -L https://get.rvm.io | bash -s stable --rails

Enjoy a cup of coffee. Then you should be done.

Looking out into the woods through a window in the “Trojan Horse” at the Pilchuck Glass School. Outside Seattle, of course.
